Are you looking
for a Christian community?
A network of people interested in contemplative practices is happening in the Las Vegas Valley. A contact list of those interested is being developed through quiet mornings of sharing contemplative practices in local churches, usually on the 3rd Saturday Morning of the month. Several from CFDM are spearheading this with support from many churches and organizations. So far, the GOING DEEPER Days have been held in Episcopal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Catholic Churches. We have explored lectio divina, the ancient monastic practice of slowing down and meditating on Scripture, the Examen from Ignatius of Loyola; various forms of meditation, including Centering Prayer, and other contemplative practices that help us slow down, wake up, and be present to the moment, to the God who is always present to us.
To be on the contact list for future Going Deeper Days, send an email to Ken Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We’ll post information about coming events on the blog associated with this web page; feel free to let us know of your interests and desires.
